For this reason, Dan Nickrent has constructed a reference library using the software EndNote. This information, particularly older works, is often difficult to access via routine internet searching. Much of the information about the Illinois flora can be found in the primary literature which includes journal articles, reports, conference proceedings, theses and dissertations.
